they shall mount up with wings as eagles;
they shall run, and not be weary;
and they shall walk, and not faint."

Dealing with Stress and Anxiety

Have the cares and problems of life burdened you with stress and anxiety, robbing you of peace? Take comfort from these verses and pray the prayer below asking the Lord to lift your burdens.

"Then Jesus said, "Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke fits perfectly, and the burden I give you is light." Matthew 11:28-30 (NLT)

"I am leaving you with a gift--peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give isn't like the peace the world gives. So don't be troubled or afraid." John 14:27 (NLT)

"I will lie down in peace and sleep, for you alone, O LORD, will keep me safe." Psalm 4:8 (NLT)

Dear Lord,

I need you now because I am full of stress and anxiety. Reading your Word brings comfort, as I ask you to come and take my heavy burdens.

I take each burden, one by one, and lay them at your feet. Please carry them for me so that I don't have to.

Replace them with your humble and gentle yoke so that I will find rest for my soul today.

I receive your gift of peace of mind and heart. Thank you that I can lie down tonight in peace and sleep.

I know that you, Lord, will keep me safe. I am not afraid because you are always with me.

Please keep me daily, Lord, in your perfect peace.

Amen

FAITH
A BILLION STARS SHINE BRIGHTLY
IN THE DEPTHS OF DISTANT SKIES;
BUT LITTLE SPECKS THEY SEEM TO BE
BECAUSE WE CANNOT SEEM TO SEE
THE GREATNESS OF THEIR SIZE.

YET IN THEIR VASTNESS GOD ABIDES,
THROUGH COUNTLESS MILES APART,
HE MOVES THE STARS IN ONE ACCORD
AND GUIDE THEM BY HIS LOVING WORD
AND HOLDS THEM IN HIS HEART.

BUT MAN WITH MEAGER VISION DIM
DEBATES WITH DOUBTING HEART;
"HAS GOD THE STRENGTH TO MEET MY NEED,
AND REALLY ALL MY HUNGERS FEED
WHEN I HAVE DONE MY PART?"

OUR TINY PROBLEMS SEEM TO US
TOO MUCH FOR GOD'S ATTENTION;
THEY ARE SO NEAR THAT THEY SEEM GREAT
AND ALL OUR THOUGHTS THEY DOMINATE;
THEY HIDE THE SKY'S DIMENSION.

LET'S LOOK ALOFT AND SEE THE STARS,
AND TRUST THE ENDLESS POWER
THAT HODS THE UNIVERSE IN PLACE
AND FILLS OUR DOUBTING HEARTS WITH GRACE
AND HELPS US EVERY HOUR.

"O YE OF LITTLE FAITH,
WHY DID YE STOP TO DOUBT?"
WHEN YOU BELIEVE WITH FAITH SUPREME-
THEN BLESSINGS, LIKE A MIGHTY STREAM,
WILL COMPASS YOU ABOUT.
LOWELL FILMORE

Blessed are the Angels who walk with us,
though we are unaware,
Those people who take time to listen
... to understand and care.
Blessed are those with unseen halos,
earned through deeds of love,
For they will always be for us Sweet Blessings From Above

WE GIVE HIM THANKS AND PRAISE!

Heavenly Father,
Please show us ways to care and provide for the needs of others and to demonstrate your love, grace, and joy.
In Matthew 10:42 Jesus said that whoever gives a cup of cold water to one of these little ones in the name of a disciple-truly I tell you, none of these will lose their reward.
May our lives reflect our faith in you and the joy of salvation.
In Jesus' name we pray,
Amen

And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers. [John 10:5]
